Got to hand it to Lee Myung-jin, the guy created a monster of a franchise. Nice of that high priest to cast Lex Aterna, although that one lord knight going up against Satan Morroc is rather brave, but suicidal. The animation is very smooth. Alas, the 2004 series couldn't benefit from it, a shame The character designer really went out of their way to make each class appealing appearance wise. Case in point the female Priestess and all its later iterations: Long hair, large bust, stockings, garter belt, and high heels. They're really trying to sell that sexy nun concept aren't they The vocal version of Wanna be Free is so good, it instantly time travels you back 20+ years to a innocent and carefree time

To Gravity, please read this. You can remake Ragnarok thousand times, but the feeling will not be the same. You can remake all of your maps, as beautiful as you like and you'll never find answers why people love to hangout at cities or Prontera South Gate. You can improve your performance, by implementing sub-server, sub-channel, sub-whatever you want, but you'll find your game only loved for several months or years if you're lucky enough. The truth is there's no magical feeling about story behind your game. The truth is there's nothing special about your gameplay. Because it's not really about your game. It's about the people in your game and how they live inside it, which Ragnarok Online almost had it all. The feeling of not being alone by traveling through fields between cities and meet another adventurer along the way. The feeling of being good and lending a hand to those who need. The feeling of being bad and steal others drops or exp. The feeling of being poor and begging for someone kindness or try to carve your way out of poverty. The feeling of being rich and giving away money or items to them or just laugh at the poor. The feeling of getting bullied by strong or bullying the weak. The feeling of tricked into bad trade or tricking someone into bad trade. And there's still alot more feeling. Those could happen not because your game is perfect, it's because imperfectness of your game. So please stop trying to create a perfect game, just create a world that let people do as they want be it good or bad. Because that's how a world supposed to be, imperfect.
